Today we get to do Murder Scene Blogfest, hosted by Anne Riley. This is from the [unwritten] third book of my Roulette series (and is very rough!). Technically, this is murder, but both (surviving) characters you will see are FBI agents - and this guy had it coming. Had someone not shot him first, he'd have killed Kasia without question. Luka has a very personal bone to pick with this guy, and he does it here.

Oh, and yeah, I cheated - if this looks familiar, it's because I posted it a while back.

I remember this, I liked it then, I like it now. I really like that she's ambivalent about leavign Viktor but then I know (sort of) the story. Nice job.

Shame I don't write murder mysteries!
I like the way it takes Kasia a few seconds to figure out what's going on. Great job describing her confusion. I like the description here, but I really love your last line. :)

Anne - yep, she knows what her father did was wrong, but she also knows he more than deserves this. I think if Luka had gotten hold of him sooner, it wouldn't have been nearly this quick for Viktor.

Nicole - Glad you like it, thanks.

Diane - You should try, it's fun.

SarahJayne - Thanks, I liked that last one myself :)

I really like this. It's very intense -- I got nervous for Kasia. Well done!

There's some nice tension here! And the last line is great.
I really liked this. Intense, the tension doesn't let up until that last line. Very nice.

I loved her internal rewind moment, where she looks for the explanation of what happened in her memory. Nice scene!

Very intense. Loved the description of how the eyes were no more empty than before...really creepy.

Oh, but what if Viktor isn't dead?
I hope Luka is alright in there!
Great work.

Elaine - Oh he is, though Luka would have enjoyed making it more painful for him ;) Thanks.

Jemi - I had no idea it was her father until she looked to her left (and up - he's 6'5, that's what clued me in on who!) as I was writing that scene! Thanks.

Raquel - that was one of my favorite bits. Thanks.

Amalia - I was hoping that bit worked, yea. Thank you.

Anne - Thanks for hosting.

Charity - Thank you, this is the kind of scene that needs the tension to carry it through, glad it did.

Heather - Thank you.

Shelley - Nervous for the MC is always good in a scene like this. Thanks.

I loved the way it took Kasia a moment to work out what was going on too.

I also really liked "I let out the breath I'd been holding" because I did at that point too. lol.

Great post :~)
