Yeah, You Shook Me

How could I have forgotten that one on my Top 10 List? An ACDC classic for sure. And definitely one of my favorites. Lots of others picked it, though.

I was surprised by a few things as I made my rounds - to well over 100 blogs! Go Alex and his awesome fest[s]. There was a huge lack of Madonna, Prince and U2 (someone else, but I can't think of it now). There was far more of The Cure & Tori Amos (whom I totally forgot - that voice!) than I ever thought there would be. Oh! Duran Duran. That's who it was. I don't remember seeing them at all. I had that poster of Simon, strapped to the water wheel in his leather pants, on the ceiling above my bed.Yeah, John was just too...pretty for me.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by and joined my little slice of the bloggy world. I hope I returned the favor everywhere. If not, let me know - with a link - and I will be happy to stop by.

Another thanks to both Deniz Bevan and Zan Marie, my fellow Compuserve house partiers (these ladies can party - well their characters sure can at least). I love the story about how Zan Marie got her name. Stop by her place and ask - it's oddly awesome. At least I think so. Anyway, they both passed on the Stylish Blogger Award to me. I posted my 7 facts here.

Last, but SO not least, I am really excited to be hosting my first guest blogger, Angelina Rain. She will be here on February 8th talking about INDECENT ENCOUNTERS, which will be released Feb. 9th. The cover is...phew. HOT. It was what caught my attention when I stumbled across her blog. Not just hot, though; captivating. Love the colors. I read the blurb and couldn't wait to read this one. Can. Not. Wait:

When you’re cursed to live your whole life unloved, can you really be held responsible for casting a love spell? When Gretchen realizes that her love spell went wrong, her only option is to reverse it before too much damage is done. However, when she wakes with a werewolf and a vampire in her bed, she learns that even reversing a love spell could have its consequences.

Even better, nobody has to be on Team Either. She has both in her bed. Rawwwrrrrr.

Angelina has a contemporary romance (under contract, I believe) that sounds fantastic too. I'm thinking I may have a new author collection - hopefully lots of books - in a few years.

Have a happy and wonderful weekend all of my friends out there in the outerblogoshpere!

Glad you had fun with the music fest! I'm glad you got to visit so many of the participants. Great AC/DC song - I can play that one on my guitar. Not well, but I try.
I got through quite a few entries but as I have been having treatment for a squashed muscle in my back and leg I had to give up and rest a wee while.
I always enjoy the blogfest and is looking forward to April for the Ato Z.

Take care
Yvonne.

The more I read Alex's blogfest entry's, the more I realized that I made the right choice by not participating. I would have driven myself absolutely crazy trying to narrow down my list of favorite songs to just 10. I don't need the angst!

But I loved reading everyone elses choices. I was surprised by many.

oh the blogfest was so much fun! I found a few new artists and was reminded of a few more. Good times. Although I think that means a little break from blogfests for a while. I think I melted my brain. I'm not used to spending that much extra time online.

I know! I can't believe I forgot to put AC/DC on mine too. And that's my favorite as well. :(

(My word verification was SciFiQu, which I take to mean get back to your quest of writing your sci-fi novel, Summer.)

It was so impossible. We all feel like we slighted/forgot bands/artists we love. (even those of us who cheated :)

I'm STILL trying got get around to everyone in the blogfest.

Congrats on your awards and your friends books. :)

Have a lovely weekend, Tara.
Hugs,
Lola

I loved the music fest!! So fun to see everyone's pics. I did have Duran Duran in my honorable mentions where I should have had Prince as well. Duran Duran just put out a new album recently!

I didn’t participate in the blogfest, but it was fun reading everyone’s top picks. I found a lot of songs I’d forgotten about.

Aww, that’s so sweet that you have a blurb to my book. You’re so awesome. I can’t wait for the blog tour.

What an interesting premise for a book! I guess that's having your cake and eating it too, yes? ;p <3

Tori Amos...le sigh! If only I could write my book the way that girl plays and sings.

Hi Tara, it's been awhile I admit, since I've been here. But I bet you can guess why.

Anyway, thanks for reading and leaving a comment over at Jeffrey Beesler's blog about my post.

The narrowing of music was a difficult task... and there's so many I KNOW I LOVE, that aren't even coming to mind at the MOMENT! LOL!!

The book sounds fascinating!! RAWWWRRRR!!! LOL!! (((HUGS)))
OMGoodness! I love Ac/Dc and Meatloaf....I know you didn't mention Meatloaf...but I had to give them a shout out....

Have a great weekend!
If it makes you feel better for missing something on your list, I missed the whole dang thing. I was having computer, work, and home issues, and didn't get anything fixed until the next day. I had a big ol' list with pictures and everything. I was going to post it later but realized my list was close to many others, so I thought, "what's the use." I'm all prepared for the next one though.

You're right - over 100 visits later (my eyes are burning!) and I don't recall seeing any Duran Duran. Lot more Bryan Adams and other Canadian bands than I thought there would be - and even a fellow blogger who listed the same Swedish band that I did!

I know some people might kill me for this - but I loved YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG version sang by Anastacia and Celine Dion for one of VH1's DIVA nights :) Two of the best singers ever really shook me with that performance :)
